Gear Homestead is a beautiful colonial house and highly popular venue for weddings. Built in 1882, it is set in magnificent grounds, surrounded by rose gardens, manicured lawns, native bush and established trees, it has stunning views of the inlet and ocean.

Gear Homestead provides a premiere location for your special day, with over 4 acres of immaculately maintained lawns and gardens. Your photographs will be outstanding to help capture your memories forever. We offer many locations for you to hold your ceremony, outside in our pretty gardens, or you can hold it inside the house itself.

Our in-house caterers red herring catering provide high end, simple, elegant cuisine for your celebration. We are happy to tailor your wedding to suit your specific needs. Our venue comfortably holds 80 people for a sit down dinner or 120 for a cocktail event.
