I always feel it is a great privilege to be asked to make a wedding dress. I am honoured to make someone look their most beautiful self…to make them radiant!

The combination of my client’s personality and our choice of fabrics are the key ingredients for inspiration, these a huge love of life and an observant eye on the world. I is not about being influenced by other designers….it’s about the artistic possibilities of different fabrics…. of the many kinds of silks, tulles, chiffons and lace….of delicate finishing details with hand beading, printing or embroidery. So therefore I don’t I have a favourite style because all brides are different! I have favourite silks for different styles, instead.

When a bride first comes in for a consultation, she will bring with her images of parts of wedding gowns that appeal to her. This gives us a reference point. As we talk through these images, she will be unconsciously revealing a lot of her personality…we are getting to know each other and I can then understand the kinds of idea she will respond to. Drawing on my experience of designing for all kind of figures, I know how to flatter her shape in the best possible way, and my task is to create a design with the best fabrics and details that will also suit my bride’s personal style. This doesn’t come from a formula! It is truly an art.

A wedding day is the chance to create some real magic…I totally love my job!!
